Solar Quest

Our Sun is the nearest example of a star and astronomers put a lot of effort into studying it because it helps us to understand all the other stars in the sky. This fulldome show explores what we know about our fascinating star, focusing on its magnetic activity such as sunspots and coronal mass ejections. These events can cause beautiful aurorae and also potentially be destructive to our astronauts and satellites.
