Book Launch: A Day on the Mountain with author Kevin Kurtz
Friday, August 13
10:30 am
Location: Science Factory Exploration Dome
All Ages/Free to members, $4 for non-members
Co-sponsored by Nearby Nature
Be the first kids to hear author Kevin Kurtz read from his new children's book! Former Science Factory Education Director Kevin Kurtz will read from his new children's book A Day on the Mountain, the follow-up to his award-winning first book, A Day on the Salt Marsh. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Science Factory, and Mr. Kurtz will be available to sign books after the reading. Written in rhyming verse and beautifully illustrated by Erin Hunter, A Day on the Mountain acquaints readers with the plants and animals living in the diverse range of habitats found in the western mountains of North America, if one were to travel from the deep forest to below to a snow-covered peak. A Day on the Mountain is published by Sylvan Dell Publishing.
