Feathered Friends Day

October 14, 2017 -
11:00am to 3:00pm

Birds of a feather flock together for a day of avian education! Meet birds that have been rescued and cared for by the volunteers of Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon. Learn from the experts about the wide variety of feathered friends in our midst, and how humans can help keep them safe.

Our community room and classroom will be full of rescue birds for you to meet. Some birds are friendly enough for us to pet them, allow them to sit on our shoulders, and even take a photo together. When you visit, pay attention to instructions from our bird guides so you know which birds you can pet.

At 12:30 or 1:30, gather in the Science Factory lobby to join a birding expert from Nearby Nature for a family-friendly guided bird hike in Alton Baker Park.
