Chemistry of Polymers


Chemically speaking, a polymer is a long chain-like molecule with a repeating pattern. In the everyday world, polymers are things that are bouncy, stretchy, sticky, or slimy. We’ll take a close look at polymers that chemists construct in the lab, and we’ll build and test (and eat!) some of our own.


Advance registration required.  Sign up for all 7 workshops: $120; $90 for Science Factory members.  Partial and full scholarships available for those with demonstrated financial need.  Call Visitor Services at 541-682-7888 to register and apply for aid.
