Robotics No-School-Day

April 3, 2017 -
9:00am to 4:00pm

On select no-school days, kids can put their creative minds to work solving challenging problems in engineering and robotics.  In these all-day workshops, kids work in teams to brainstorm ideas, build prototypes, tinker, test, revise, repeat and finally present their completed projects for everyone to see and enjoy.

  • Grades 1-2: Mars Explorer
What does it take to build a rover that can survive the elements on a faraway planet, explore rough terrain, and report back to Earth with its findings?

  • Grades 3-6: Snail Race
Working with your teammates, learn to build and program a LEGO Mindstorms robot. Experiment with gears, wheels, and other mechanisms in order to build the SLOWEST moving robot possible!
